Dealing with a Father Who Caused Us Pain- Father wounds

Father Wounds Can Impact us as Adults
Dealing with a Father Who Caused Us Pain
Our fathers are imperfect. Their imperfections may have caused us pain or even trauma. Because we gain our sense of identity and safety from our fathers, their imperfections can result in us finding it difficult to trust others, a lack of self-confidence, and a low sense of self– father wounds. A father’s words are powerful and necessary. Their actions are even greater.
The four phrases every child needed to hear from their father are:·
I love you no matter what
 I’m proud of you
You are safe
You are enough
Did you hear these words? If yes, and no, how did this impact your life? If you did not grow up hearing these words, make it a point to speak these over yourself. These words are powerful and can help you heal from father wounds.
